Anger Mgmt get's top honors and the dress

Graduation

My chest is poked out y’all. Ms. Anger Management received the top score is her class. SHE WAS NUMERO UNO!!!! We were/are so proud of her.

Prom/Dance

The dance was nice. When she got dressed with the hair and all that, she looked awesome. Also, that is when I realized my baby isn’t so much a baby any more, she is turning into a beautiful young lady. Damn.

THE DRESS:

We went online to buy her original dress and we found out her dress was out of stock tell August. Well, we were up shit creek then because she can’t stand pink (I think I traumatized her when she was a baby), she loves blue and all the stores we went to had pink. Time was running down and then she went on the Honors trip so I could not get anything with out her consent (because I was still finding dresses in pink – its her color!). When she got back home I showed her the dresses I saw and she was none too happy, but at the same time we had to get something. My budget was $200.00 (folks, I was not trying to spend that AT ALL), I figured that was the going rate for the dresses. Well, I call the shop and ask do they have the dress and they said yup and we got chucking to the burbs. When we get there she do not look at the dress because it is multicolored and she see blue dresses. Well while she was trying on those dresses I got the sales girl to get the dress I called about, it was on the mannequin. My husband agreed that was the better dress. Any who, she shows me the contenders and she didn’t like them because they showed her boobage. One thing I like about my daughter is she haven’t discovered her body yet. She is a brick house and do not know it. She hate showing her legs, she will only wear Bermuda shorts, they have to come to her knees (for how long, not much). When she tried on my dress she looked beautiful in it, everyone told her and she kept saying, I don’t know because it is too short. I said well lets ask Dad and he said it was just fine. STAMP of APPROVAL (no cutouts) - 24.99 people.

THE SHOE: Now we go look for the shoes, I said why don’t we go to payless you don’t wear heels and this is a one time thing. We go there and they have shoes for 19.99, I said hell no. If we are going to pay that much, we might as well spend a little extra and go to Macy’s. We are walking down and we see some shoes (can’t remember the shop, but one of those teens, young adult shops) and we go in. I see some gold shoes for 29.99 and am like way to much for this store, but I am tired and she could fit them. We go to the register and the shoes were FIVE DOLLARS. Could not believe my luck.

THE BAG: I thought I had a gold clutch at home, but it was chrome – damn. We go out on the day of the dance after getting our hair and nails did. Mr. Conservative took us to Pentagon City and we ended up at Macy’s and we found a Gu.ess clutch which looked more her age for $59.99. I wasn’t mad at the price because I got such great deals with the dress and the shoes. Got to the register and magic happened again. The bag was 19.99.

So, everything came to $49.98. It’s my burday!!!

OH HELL TO THE NAW!!!

Did he really say she is not the boss of him and more? Ain't no damn way. I am sorry, I believe kids have rights, but damn, he would not have got into the first minute of a convo. You do not raise your voice at me at all. Discussion are civil especially with your kids. I can honestly say I would not be here right now, if I would have stepped to my mom like that; furtermore, if it was my kids, I would be writing this blog from a jail cell, inmate number 666666.

I still don't get it - why isn't she telling a story from her jail cell? This should be a Snapped Episode. And this video would be used as evidence for the defense. I probably would get off if I could stack the deck with a jury of my "peers". Ya dig!!

WHATEVER and a big NO Ma'am.

Bathing Suits: Conversations between Mr. Conservative and Anger Mgmt

My baby is back!!!

Miss Anger Management just returned from a weekend in Rehoboth Beach, which was very big. Her school took seven honor students. Originally, they were supposed to go to Puerto Rico, but parents did not want their children leaving the country. Understandable. Hell, I did not want mine to leave the house. This is her first away trip. She has only been allowed to go to her Grandma’s house and two aunts. That is it. No spending a night over friend’s house. Nada. Well, she is growing up. My little young lady, and as usual I do have a story to tell. We went shopping for bathing suits and the child has always had a one piece ALWAYS, even as a bambino. While we were shopping 50 million stores, on the 51st we were dog tired and determined this would be the last store so she had better find something. Well they really did not have anything and then she says this suit is okay and the conversation between her and Mr. Conservative went something like this –

Anger Mgmt: Well, I do not see anything. I might as well get this one mommy (I normally fight for her, if her dad is unreasonable.).
Mr. Conservative: Let ME see? (He is not stupid she said it too quick and specified me)
AM: This one.
MC: Girl, you funny. Was you smoking crack this morning?
AM: What?
MC: You heard me you must have been smoking crack!
AM: So, I can get it daddy? (She is delusional and he was laughing, so I guess she thought he was joking)
MC: Hell no, was the crack good to you; it must have been if you thought you were getting that suit.
ME: (DYING laughing, and of course, putting my two cents in) I do not see anything wrong with the bathing suit; it is a full bathing suit – just CUT OUTS on the sides.
MC: Oh, okay, so she gave you some too. I do not care what either one of you says, you better, find another bathing suit because she ain’t coming out of here with that one. (Awe, look at him trying to be all rough, and put it down….I like that, he’s getting extras tonight – ya feel me!).

We end up finding a bathing suit that was suitable to all of our standards, and we confirmed that the child was a little delusional and not on the pipe.

Shopping for the Eighth Grade Prom is tonight cannot wait!!

Fast Ass

This little treasure was sitting in my inbox this morning and I could not believe it. What this little girl is doing in this video is what my mother calls being a fast ass. That is my mothers term for little girls that act like their older, a little fresh if you will. WELL, I must show her this video. I don't want to hear about "in their culture" and all that, because she is rocking a little extra when she gets on the ground. And why did it take so long for her dad to get her? I guess he figured she better make that money first, then grab her.

Well, I just got one damn question......do she give lessons?

Thursday, June 05, 2008

Hey Urb, how are you?

Let me think about that loaded question? You know I can curse like a sailor, but I won't I will just show you a picture and you can just imagine the words I am using. My week is going a little something like this.....

Do you knitty people know what this is?

Well, let me just tell you. That is my knitpick needles with my special project that has a gazillion stitches on it and it broke this morning while I was standing up knitting on the freaking train. I have been contemplating jail time since Monday, wondering if I have friends or family that will spend their stimulus check on me so I don't have to be in the cell with Big Bertha, if I strangle my employer. You know just a little, not a lot, but you know there are implications there so.....
The weather has been PMSing, don't know if it wants to rain, or be sunny.

Anywho, this has been my week, so far.

Are you serious? No Really.... are you?

On Memorial Day, I decided I would surprise my husband and help dig up the back yard while he was at work. Well let me tell you. I am not the damn digging type, I think I was out there all of 10 minutes and quit! I am telling you I would have been in the house making babies for Massa, for real!!

While I was out back I noticed my neighbor and would have liked to say Hi, through the fence, but have decided after a year and a half being in the house that I did not want to keep trying to say hi to a woman who is determined not to speak back. So, I went to the front of the house to pull weed and water/feed the Lillie's that have not bloomed like the Lillie's in the back yard.

My mom stayed over the house this weekend. While I was working my mom and her shadow (Mr. Stefon) came out of the house and said they were going to the store, and I heard my mom say I am doing fine and you? I am looking around trying to figure out who in the world she is talking to over my shoulder. Well people I was shocked it was my next door neighbor and she was all cheesing, looking nice. I am like hold up, that's odd. So, I go in the house and get some mullah so I can get something too and I stop my mom in the garage and am like. She must respect her elders or high, because that woman goes out of her way not to speak, she must like you.

BACKGROUND: Her husband/boyfriend that USE to live with her ALWAYS spoke, and she would make it her business to try and turn her head or act like she did not see anyone. In the beginning I gave her the benefit of the doubt, then my husband started saying the same thing. We have never done anything to this woman, so whatever. But at the end of the day she has a right not to speak. Well, we noticed that her husband/boyfriend has not been there the last month, almost two. I assume he is gone, who knows, who cares.

Now back to the scheduled program: My mom and son leave and I am watering the flowers. I hear, um, excuse me since your watering the flowers - hold on to your horses - Since your watering the flowers I assume you live here!!! Yes, you read it right.

So, I am looking at her, like...Lord, is she special? she sound it? naw, WTF.

People, you will be so proud of me. I had all types of zingers I was ready to throw at this bitches head, but I didn't. What I did do was laugh and smile because if I didn't Professional Urban was about to be Ghetto Urban. It was an awkward moment me looking at her, her looking at me, not saying shit. And then I just said. Hi, my name is Urban, I would shake your hand but it is dirty and then she said, so is mine, my name is La.Fuckup and for fun, I said what? She repeated it. and I said excuse me? and she repeated. I heard her ass, the first time but I had to.

She then says, I have been meaning to come over and say Hi, I should be ashamed of myself after all this time (so evidently she knew who I was). She said she travels a lot and that her and the guy who use to own our house use to look out for each other when they were on travel, take out each other trash and all that good stuff and I look at her and said yeah, THAT IS WHAT NEIGHBORS ARE FOR!!.

My summation. Dude is no longer in the house and she wants someone to watch her shit while she is gone. Guess what people? No problem, because we always looked out for their house. We knew when their ass was traveling and shit. Also, I grew up the neighborly way. My stepdad use to cut the neighbors grass when he cut ours and shovel their snow.

I just can't get past - since your watering the flowers, I assume you live here. Maybe she didn't know a better ice breaker.....like, um. Hi, we haven't been properly introduced, my name is Dumbass.

Great weekend and a small world

Man, I had a ball this weekend. I went to Linganore Winecellars for their annual Caribbean Wine Festival and I went to a bday party. Great times. So, lets start with the wine festival.

First off, let me start off by saying that someone did not read my post about drinking too much and fighting. I saw two people fall out and this time two girls were fighting. One bust the other one upside the head with a wine bottle - oh and 1/2 the wine was still in the bottle. What a waste! One lady walked by and said give me my Jack Daniels any day, you people do not know how to act with wine (told ya). P.S. it was not one of us.... I heard someone say that they were fighting because one slept with the other husband. SIDEBAR - this has always been a problem for me, why are the women fighting? Fuck him up, HE is the one made the promises, not her. Geez, I am not fighting for Mr. Conservative, unless it is family - why because both of them made a promise, chica off the street, no ma'am.

The positives. It was a girls/ladies whatever day out. So, we got up, got our food and hit the road. Mr. Conservative was a little upset because we like to do "first" together, but he had to work and it is good to get out of the house minus the spouse sometimes. AND, we are going to the Jazz and Reggae one so he will be straight.

Small world, so we are more than an hour away, and we are about to go on a wine tour and I say to my gf, wow that sounds like my Godmother/Aunt. And I say, huh, she does have blonde dreads, but I have never seen her drink anything but water. Well, I walk over and act like I am buying something and sure nuff, it was my godmommy. Oh and she is a regular to the winery and I am in awe, because, again, never seen her drink anything. Fun times.

Here are a couple of folks listening to the music and the tent folks were smart, because the sun was out.

On Sunday, my godsister had a cookout for her sister bday, she turned 34 too and her brother was there and upset that he had to leave the next day (he is in the service). WE had a ball, we were dancing to Chuck Brown and started a soul train line and we had Crabs (which are helluva expensive right now $198 a bushel) and everything else.

Birthday girl is getting her groove on and that is my mommy in the dress.

Look at my flowers people!!! I am so stoked!! My Lillie's and Roses have come out in the backyard (thank God). I have lilies in the front, but they have not bloomed yet, which is a good thing, because someone probably will cut them (fuckers).

Oh and I have a new rule to add to the DO's and DON'T list.
Do dress according to the weather and wine festival.
Don't wear white a white shirt and miss your lips while drinking red wine! (that would be me, too busy observing people and missed my soup coolers DAYHUM!

Did I tell you I cut my hair - well this is an old picture, my hair is even shorter and my hair is colored in the front and I LOVE it.

Wine Festival

Last weekend I went to Wine in the Woods a wine festival. I had a ball ya'll. There is nothing like good food, wine and friends - oh and Mr. Stefon. We had to take him, because the other two had plans - dayum.

Anywho, I got to sample some local wines (and buy some) and had one of the best crab cakes, don't let no one fool you, Maryland makes the best crab cakes. What would have really set it off would have been some yarn for sale. There was artisans there, and I bought some of their wares.

THE best part of the festival - the end. Why, you ask? Because people don't know their damn limit!!

Here's a little do's and don'ts of a Wine Festival.

DO get a designated driver, if you know your going to drink the whole entire time.
DON'T drink your weight in wine and then think you can walk. Man ol man, we were DYING with laughter, people were falling slam out. And Mr. Stefon had the best line, why he say, I guess somebody forgot to spit!!! Oh Man, I thought I would wet my pants. Another lady fell slam out, in the mud (it has been rainy bad here) face first, gf was knocked out, her husband had to fireman carry her. Not a good luck at all, but funny as all get out (she wasn't hurt). Okay, one more. The last one I went to the lady was walking with her kids and she could not go straight. Her husband, was like I can't bring her no where and the kids were staring. We were cracking up - oh and the police was giving people "voluntary" breathalyzers. Some needed to take that test.

DO bring chairs, blankets, leashes for your kids and good eats if your not buying anything.
DON'T drink bottles at a time and then want to fight. Every wine festival I go to at the end they want to fight and it is normally the frat boys. Of course, Mr. Stefon spotted this one - Daddy, look, that man just picked up a bottle and about to hit him over the head. Sure nuff, he was. Last one I went to, same thing except they really got scruffing, all I heard was, "We need Officers at the front" damn shame. I looked at our group and was like - hell, they said don't give any brown to black people, I think we need to look into whites and wine.

DO wear comfortable shoes and be ready to have a good time, especially if you are buying food, because the lines were packed for food, I mean like an hour wait.
DON'T wear six inch heels when you know the shit is outside and it has been raining for weeks. Dirt+Water=Mud and you busting your ass.

DO volunteer if you have the time.
DON'T volunteer if you are going to be drinking the wine like their shots. Man oh man, this one chic that was helping, I swear she was going one for you 3 for me. People in line, were like damn, is she suppose to be doing that? I mean, she was taking it back to back.

DO go around to the local winery's and try the wines, that is what you paid for and is therefore.
DON'T drink up everything just because it is free. KNOW YOUR FUCKING LIMIT, many see free and just go for it.

One last one.
DO try new stuff - hey again, that is what your there for.
DON'T ever in your life try Chocolate Zinfandel, as I stated everything was free to sample, except special shit. They had the Chocolate Zinfandel for $1 and I was not going to pay for it because it didn't sound like my thing. My friend got in line to get it and this girl over to the side was talking to me and telling me it is ssssooooo good, like she just had an orgasm, so I'm like hell I want one. SHIT, should have followed my instincts, she must work for the damn place, my friend and i spit ours out at the same time.

Here is my wine and my most prized possession, my wine glass holder. Put it around your neck and bam you don't have to carry it. I got it at my first wine festival and I got stopped numerous times, my husband broke his (truth be told, that was actually mine...ssshh). So, I tried to get him another but they didn't have them at this one.

Me wearing my best friend.

My wine glass and holder and Precious tried to sneak in the picture.

Beauty is her name!

This weekend I will be attending the Caribbean Wine Festival at Linganore Wineries, I am so stoked because this will be my first visit to a winery. Oh boy! Can some say DESIGNATED DRIVER! Not it, you know I don't drive.

What do you have planned this holiday weekend?

Conversations with Urb

Mommy Dearest & I

That good ole holiday – Mother’s Day, came and I wanted to buy my mother some clothes, but I needed her size. So, I called her.

Me: Mommy, what size do you wear?
Mother Dearest: Why?
Me: Because I want to know. (as if it wasn’t obvious)
Mother Dearest: Get me a size 12/14.
Me: Mommy, I am not buying you a 12, you are too small. (me to self, she is smaller than me she has to be a 6).
MD: I know what I want get me a 12/14
Me: I am not buying that, look you are smaller than me. If I wear a 8 (depends) or 10 you have to swear a size smaller than me.
MD: (Laughter) Who wear a 10? Your ass wear a 14/16.

Silence

MD: Hello
Me: I have never worn a 14/16, where do you get that from.
MD: Well it looks like it, I have to look at you again.

What the fuck? I always go through this shit with my mother and sister. By the way, they have always been bigger then me. I used to be a 0, and no I was not sick or anything, just didn’t gain shit. I was a 0 until I had Mr. Stefon and then I went to a 6 and have fluctuated between an 8/10 and when I am about to go to a 12 diet like mad or exercise. My sister is fat. Cutie, but fat. I say that to say, she should never worry about my weight, but she do. I don’t care about size, but with them you would think I was the biggest person walking this earth.

Mr. Stefon & Urb

Mr. Stefon lost his metro pass. I pay $26 for the month for him to catch the train and bus unlimited for the month. If you lose the pass your short. Well he lost his and I know it is in his room somewhere. So this morning on the way to school, I said something about the pass again.

Me: We would have more stuff to bring on our trip if you didn’t loose your pass, and I didn’t have to shell out extra money (me and him might go on a date this weekend to the monument)
Mr. Stefon: Mommy you are making me feel bad.
Me: How?
MS: You keep talking about the pass
Me: I’m going to keep talking abut the pass do you know how much it cost, If we don’t have the pass, I pay 6 dollars a day for you that is 30 dollars in a week, 120 for the month.
Mr. Stefon: Well you told me to tell you when you make me feel bad and you will stop.
Me: Did I have a glass in my hand? Because I am going to keep talking about it until you find it. Have a nice day at school sweetie – oh and look in your locker and see if it is in there.

Furthermore, the boy don’t feel bad. He said that after I told him I am not buying a video game, because the money for the game is being spent on his travels.

Urb & the cleaning lady

Me and the cleaning lady chit chatting talking about life.

Cleaning Lady: I love your hair, it looks so nice.
Me: Thank you
CL: You should keep your hair short like that and the color is nice.
Me: Thank you
CL: Are you pregnant
Me: Um, no….
CL: You are just glowing and beautiful girl, keep on doing what cha doing.
Me: Ah, thank you – what I wanted to say – Maybe, I look like this because my husband was laying pipe 2 in the a.m., but, but um, I didn’t and I will keep on doing what we were doing!

Its my birfday!!

Blogger was acting up, so I had to split the post.

So, my bday resolution for 34 is to complete all the resolutions I did not complete last year and I want to add a few more.

v Gain knowledge on a business venture I want to start and to take steps to making a business plan.

v Join Professional Association

v Politics, politics – love it!! Need to attend more functions that I am invited to.

v Get a new job.

v Spend more time with Mr. Stefon, and try to exercise some patients (prayer).

v Family trip

v Read at least three classics.

v Organize house projects

Biggest accomplishment of year 33 was watching my oldest child, College Boy, attend his senior prom, graduate high school and attend college.

Goals reached at year 33

HELLO 34!!

Well peeps it is official, I am 34 years old. Let’s see what I have accomplished during my 33rd year on this planet.

  • Get into somebodys damn Master Program, this was on the list last year and as you can see I did not complete it. Technically, I did receive the admission papers to attend Catholic in the fall
  • Do a new resume, everyone needs an updated one. (Completed Federal & Private)
  • Date my kids more - especially my daughter (13 and is starting to develop - need I say more) and the 8 year old - my 17 year old and I are already close. (Sure did, they are now 14, 9 and 18)
  • For the husband keep everything as is, we have a wonderful relationship, so I don't want to change anything there, he respects me and I respect him. So keep doing whatever I have been doing. (Yes ma’am, surely did and I have a closet full of……)
  • Exercise more and I am going to set a goal of losing 30 lbs. (I ran consistently for a while and am off track, so no I did not lose 30 but I did lose something. Can’t tell you what because I do not weigh myself, but a lot of people say it look like I lost something)
  • Drive more. I AM GOING TO DRIVE TODAY (we will see) I did drive more, but still need to make it a habit and not 3 times a year.
  • Continue to save money and try to stick to a budget. Please, I was so bad, did not do.
  • More me time (please) Again, did not do.
  • Travel more Nope
  • Swim more Nope
  • Read classics, expand my reading. I already read a lot, but I would like to go back and read some of the classics. I did read more, even if it was close to the end and the classic – Anna Karenina, I think that counts.
  • Expand knitting technique (double knitting, dying, steeking, etc...), um, I know I did more than I have before so yeah and I started a blanket.
  • Learn to crochet. Child please, did not start and it is a damn shame because I bought all the needles and book 2 years ago.

Well, well. I am getting older folks and I am not kicking and screaming today. I am actually looking forward to it, because let me tell you. Birthday 29 - 30 was pure drama. I was depressed like hell. And then all of a sudden I started looking forward to bday 31 (everyone was happy).

So, today is my daddys bday and his brother (my grandparents must have LUV that day - ugh, sick, don't want to think about that any more).

Any who today is the last day I will be 33 and tomorrow I will be brining in 34. Oh and I will post my 34 year old revolution. Here is last years goals for 33 that I posted or you can see the entire post here:

A Lacy Bolero and Herbs

Yes, you read the post right. I actually have another knit project finished (singing stuntin like my mutha)!!

I finished the Ribbed Lace Bolero by Kelley Maher AKA Springtime, on April 19th, but did not have a chance to take a picture (lazy). Well Ms. Anger Mgmt is going on a field trip today and wanted to wear it, so I made her take a picture early this morning (so no she is not wearing it with what she has on it's her pj's). I will try and get a better shot later. I used Knitpicks 10 1/2 and 8 needles. Lion Brand Cottonease - lake (1 skein and a little of the second). A very easy knit. Without further ado:

This weekend I went to the U.S. National Arboretum. When you come to D.C. you should really visit it is so pretty. Once a year they have a sale on the plants and herbs they have been growing through out the year at a discount price. Well I was overwhelmed with the flower selection, so we decided to start a little herb garden: Rosemary, Pepper Mint, Apple Mint, Jalapeno Hot Peppers, Peppers - Mildly Hot, and Basil. I reached for the Habernos and my husband said hell no (I'll tell you that story another day). I can't wait to plant them, but the experts told me to wait because of the shifting weather here.

Orange Hat

I forgot to add. That I will be part of my Homeowners Association Orange Hat Patrol this weekend so send up a big one for me!! We have serious issues and I am trying to be apart of the solution even if I think our HOA is some shit.

Peace

Acceptance, Tulip robbersand some more

Hey blogging family. Guess what this is?

In case you didn't get it. That is my acceptance letter from Cat.holic Uni.versity Graduate School!! Yes, they would accept me AFTER I have decided NOT to go any more. But it is always good to know somebody wants you, that you are worthy enough. Now I am back to the drawing board of do I want to go or not, it was easy to make the decision when I figured they were taking too long and since they didn't want me, I didn't want them. But now I am like, ha, do I want it? Buggers. At least it is a good diliemna to be in and I have until August to make a decision.

Tulip robbers.

People, I have these special tulips that are different than the others. The old homeowner planted them, I don't know what they are called but they are so dainty and beautiful. They bloomed Monday and they are sooooooo pretty. When the husband and I pulled into the driveway yesterday they were blowing in the wind with all the other beautiful tulips yellow, red and some red/yellow just gorgeous (I know I need to take pics before they blow off). Once we got in the house, I remembered I was waiting for my refill meds, and I went to the mailbox to check to see if it was in. I open the door and what do I see? Not three beautiful tulips, but one! What the hell happened to the other two?!?! WE just came in the freakin house!! After I came from the mailbox, I looked at it and realized that the other flowers behind it were cut too! Thank Goodness my rose bushes are in the BACKYARD!! Dilemma, my lilies will bloom soon. ASSWIPEs, if I catch a grown ass adult doing this IT WILL BE SO ON. What do I do? I go in the house get the scissors and cut the last one, so that I can enjoy her, hell if other's are beautifying their home, I might as well too! I just didn't want to do it yet, so the seedlings can drop and I can enjoy next year. FUCKERS!!

I love these shoes - look at one of my new babies for the summer. I love them because of the heels. Walk it out!! Have a great weekend ladies (gents?)

Student of the Month

Mr. Stefon is student of the month!!! I figured I would give him his own post since I give him such a hard time. The boy is not bad, he is just different then his brother and sister. When they were little you never knew they were in the room. They sat down nice and quiet and didn't move. Perfect, I tell you. When Mr. S was born, I don't think he took kindly to the quietness and decided to mix things up a little. So, when you tell him to do something he has to ask why? how come or any thing else (because we said so). A brilliant child but dang.

Any who, Mr. S has been on t.v. restriction a little before Christmas. Not because he was bad, but because I felt like he was behind in school, not on level. One thing you should know about me is I value education (I think that is why my folks have so many problems, we got away from it) Enough preaching about that. Anywho, I told him that he could no longer watch t.v. during the week. On the weekend is fine, but he did try to get over in the beginning and said. Well, since I can't watch t.v. during the week, does that mean I can play my game. Um, no. What does one have to do with the other? My kids can't play video games during the week.

So, last Thursday, he wanted to know if he could get off restriction and I told him no. Not until I receive something from your teacher (although, I was going to let him off, because I saw improvements). He said, well what if she doesn't give me anything. I let him sweat and said, well.

Friday, I get a phone call from his teacher and she said that she see a tremendous improvement. He is not only on level - he is doing much better. She said he is participating in class, raising his hands (and making gestures, saying stuff like - all man, I know that one) and helping others with their work. Go Stefon, it's your bday!!

I am so proud of the little monster - we made a big deal and told everyone like we did Anger Mgmt and he was so excited. He wants approval from his big bro College Boy, so I made sure I told him and he went upstairs and especially congratulated him and he was cheesing for days.

What was a trip though was when he said.....you know people get stuff for being students of the month. And I said from who your school, he said, uh yeah and your parents too......

Expulsion, Suspension and then some

I hear what everyone has to say in reference to picking up the young lady, but I would not. Don't get me wrong, I would not want any harm to come to her. However, she did not get help by getting picked up, which mean she will do it again. Her parents need to rectify this problem, and what if something happened once she was in my car. If it was my child and you got the phone call, tell your child no, or do it and knock on my door. My friend, the mother has a problem with authority herself and that is the reason she didn't do anything. And that is also the reason why she has issues with her sons. See, I believe that you don't have to be your children best bud. That is why so many kids are out of sorts today. Too many parents want to be friends and not chastise their kids. Children need discipline and that does not mean that you have to go upside their heads, but they do need to know that with every action there is a reaction - choice/consequence.

I get a call from the same friend last week.

Friend: I am so sick and tired of these kids.
Me: Why? What's wrong.
Friend: I am on my way to the youngest school (he is in the 10th or 11th grade). They are talking abut Expelling him from school.
Me: What!! What is going on?
Friend: He went off campus for lunch (not allowed), and when he came back in the security officer smelled weed on him and he said it was so strong he could not let it go. So, I am on my way now.

They had to wait for the Police to come and weigh the drugs to see if it would be distribution, plus he had $120 dollars on him. It was not distribution, because it didn't weigh much. He had money on him because he works. Plus the police said he would have a lot of $10 on him not $20. Whatever, that means.

Later on that night, I am talking to her on the phone and she told me she told him to write a essay. While were talking I hear him and his brother (who is suspended for 10 days for being disrespectful with a teacher) laughing it up, and I am like is that him and she goes on this rant with him. Boy, you should have your head down in shame, I can't believe you. He said to her, for what, I am not going to walk with my head down and feel shame. Okay, I got in trouble and I will fix it. YOU JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET MY PAPERS ON MONDAY, SO I CAN DO MY WORK. He did not yell this, I just had to put this in caps. Do you know, all she said when she walked away was I hate my kids.

He has not been officially expelled from school. They have to go to a hearing, but in the meantime, he has been going to see a counselor (where he is drug tested weekly), still working, playing in a go-go band and hanging out.

I try and talk to her, she knows it a problem. But I asked her how can you deal with the blatant disrespect. I just don't get it and she told me I was right, I mean we were having this conversation after she told me she went to get his school work, the one he told her she better get. I mean come on.

The reason why I say she has a problem with authority, is because she will talk about the faults of the teachers and everyone else. And I have told her for years that you can't talk bad about the teachers in front of them, no matter how dumb you think the rule is, a rule is a rule. Hell you follow them and your an adult, they need to know that they have to follow them too.

I don't know what else to say. Oh and by the way I got another call yesterday the oldest just got suspended again for being disrespectful to one of the teachers again, this time for 3 days. So, now she has both of them at home.

Po.pemister and drunk kids

Rockstar Status
So, that rockstar named the P.O.pe is in town and I saw soooooo many people lined up around the Whi.te Ho.use to see him drive really fast by them - I kid. I wanted to take pictures, but this BIG lady sat by me on the bus, I have nothing against the big girls, however, I do when you hem a sista up in the corner. I could not reach for my trusty cell phone because she was in my space, so no pics, maybe on the way home. Anyway, I didn't want to see him, but for some reason this morn, I was like you know what, it will be so cool to see the Pimp - I mean P.ope mobile, you know to see if it had some spinners on it or something.

Looks like Cat.h.olic U did not lose him, but they must have lost my email, because they still did not give me a answer as they emailed and said they would.

Drunk Kid

Okay, the friend I told you about. More issues - so many that I will have to do one story a day.

So her oldest son, went on a date with a young lady that wants to do big things, like go to Harvard, have values (I hear) and make something out of her self. A go getter. Well he gets home at midnight. Soon as he comes in the house he ask his mother could he pick up ANOTHER chick. HOLD UP. He just got off one date and is talking about picking up someone else....

Friend: Why am I picking up someone else kid?
Son: Because she is drunk.
Friend: Okay, so when did I become the taxi for drunk kids? Why can't she call her parents?
Son: Because her mom and dad will be pissed and they will not go get her. Please pick her up she sounds really drunk and she is talking about riding the train and I don't think that is safe.

Me while she is telling me this story: Please tell me your retarded ass didn't pick her up? (exact words)
Friend: Girl, she was tore up, she could not walk to the car straight, she smelled like she was smoking something (her son said dippers), and this is not the first time she heard about this girl
drinking. BTW, she does not like her, she likes the other one but I told her evidently your son likes her - she probably giving him a little something special.............

Me: Okay, so she is doing this all the time and she is in the 11th grade, underage. You should have knocked on her parents door and told them or left her at the house so she had no other choice but to call. Think about it, her parents may not know because she is hiding it and now YOU are - have your ass heard of aiding and abetting.

I love her, but I swear. Wait until I tell you what the boys have done lately. Preview: Expulsion from school and suspension.

Maybe I am too harsh, I would not have picked her up. My husband said she was right - picking the girl up, but she should have knocked on the door and talked to the parents.

Question - What would you do? or What would you want a parent to do if they had your kid?

Life - Making decisions, falling down stairs and some more

Where do I begin? Do, I start off with me thinking I was at the bottom of the stairs and was not, which led to me falling on my 33 year old knees! Oh and with Mr. Stefon behind me, which will not let me live it down. He told my husband once they knew I was okay and we were in the car to be taken to school and work - oh, the way you were laying there - I thought you were dead. I did not hurt any thing, except my ego (next time I will turn the light on).

Next, unrelated to me falling down the steps, my back was acting up last week. Literally could not move, I have never experienced back pain like that. Why me? Why now? Damn. But, hot pads and my husband made me feel better, except when he tried to give me a massage and damn near killed me, but he was trying to help. I had to let him know that the insurance policy is not that big to bring a young girl in here to take care of Mr. Stefon and Angermgmt will run her away (I think, don't know about that girl, she might just be happy). I know my sweetie College boy will look after me - I so love him, he is 18 and cute as the devil and when he came in the house Sunday, he came upstairs gave me a hug and kiss and told me he missed me this weekend - boy I wish I could bottle him up. I want so much for him - too mushy I know, so moving on.

Then, I finally made a big decision. I am now taking classes to get a Human Resource Management Certificate than a HRM Graduate Degree from Ca.th.olic Uni.versity. Why? Well, CU has been getting on my last nerves. Originally I was suppose to start this past January, but they said they didn't receive my application fee (I paid using their online system - update your shit). So, once I told them that, they checked, apologized and then said they didn't have my transcripts. WHAT?!? So, I called my undergrad and they had it documented on when they sent and who they sent it to. Ha. Somebodies lying.... So, I call Ca.tholic back and they said
maybe another department received it and blah, blah. Guess what? Yeah they did (I swear, I hope they don't lose the Po.pe like this, it will be an international incident!!). Long story short, I have decided to get my certificate from Cornell University. I will take it online and after completion I will have a certificate that states it is from Cornell NOT ecornell which looks like it is online (even though it is - you know some people look at it differently.) Anyway, I am happy with this decision. I know I want a graduate degree, but now I can get it with what I really want and it might just be HRM, but we will see. Oh and as I thought this crap was to a close, I got an email from CU telling me that they will all meet this week and let me know if I need to come in for an interview or if I will be waived (shit I graduated Cum Laude and you want me to interview? Fudge you). So, I will like to take the time out to give them THANKS, because I would never have looked for an alternative if they were not pussy footing as the old folks says and make a decision on my own. I started class last week and I love it so far. Best part, it is a helluva lot cheaper!

Knitting - last as usual. I keep making mistakes with the freaking socks, I don't know why, but my count keep being off and I have restarted, like 3 freaking times, so that shit is in time out and I don't know when it is coming back out. However, I did start a new project and that could be the real problem. I love it so much. I am making my daughter the shrug, although, I had to unravel 2 inches because of a mistake, but it didn't bother me too much. You know how it is when you like something.

Hold up, one more thing. I have tulips in my yard ya'll and I am HAPPY!! Can you tell? Guess what I am not the only one happy. Why one of my neighbors is cutting my damn tulips!!! What the Fuck! Who does that? My husband said - babe, why did someone pull one of the tulips out the ground (they left it in the yard, bulb and all), them kids get on my damn nerves. So, I go and take an inspection. Um, dear heart, lets not blame the kids so fast. he said why. I said look at the damn plant, besides the one someone cruelly pulled out the ground, they cut two of them. I said look at the straight line across, kids didn't do that. A grown ass adult did that shit and they must of did it when they saw our ass leave. Ain't that some shit? Let me catch there ass.

More than meets the eye

TRANSFORMERS!! I so loved the cartoon and the movie was okay (husband hated it). Anywho, every time I knit something Mr. Stefon ask me when am I going to make him something. He also, told me that he has been waiting over 2 million years. Whatever!

I want to make Anger Management this shrug and I knew I would feel guilty, so I found a quick knit for him. I used Debbie Bliss Cotton, which I had in my stash and the first washcloth was done with size 8 KnitPicks - Hated It, to lose. So, I went down to a size 7 and Bam - me likey. I finished at work (what the mouse will do when the cat is gone), so again crappy pictures. This project only takes a couple hours, but I was reading Anna, damn that Tolstoy can make you think you are there at the ball - lovely. The pattern is free.

Debbie Bliss Cotton

Transformer too big

Transformer just right

This was his answer after seeing the first one.

Thanks Mommy, cool, but you know it's suppose to be red. Where are my socks and blanket?

Damn. He must not know his momma that well, it will take like 2 million years.

IIIITTTT'SSSS FFFRRRRIIIDDDDAAAYYYY!!! Yes Sir!

Life in review over the past two weeks

Movies
Gone, baby gone
The Assassination of Jesse James
I am Legend - again (damn Will - I need some water or a fan - good Lord)
No Country for Old Men (I do not know why it won anything at ALL - if it was between this garbage and American Gangster? They should have won hands down!)
I Left (or Buried) My Heart at Wounded Knee
The King and I (the old one of course)

Books
The Secret Life of Bees
Anna Karenina (will be reading for the next 20 years)

Knitting
CPH - haven't had a chance, been reading, I need to do the arms.
Pomatomous - have been knitting the second sock, slowly.
Looking at new patterns - tried one, and me no likey

Family
Everyone went to the dentist over the last two weeks (thank goodness the kids and husband dentist is open on Saturdays and the evening - I go closer to work).
Spring Break has come and gone.
My mother is moving back up here from Georgia - I feel like Jerry when he was talking about his parents moving back to NYC from Florida, if George parents moved down - I need the cushion damn it!
Another job fair - 2 - I really must be losing it.

Music
Michael Jackson CD - let me just tell you, I too use to be a big fan and use to have one of the hugest crush. My godsister had him all over the place and her cousin Tony was worst, she had him on every inch of her wall, door and ceiling. I use to be so jealous her mom let her do that, because my mother was not having it at all! My gf told me they released a new cd with the old songs, plus some new songs with Fergie, Will.I.am and Kanye and I told her I was not getting it.

How/why did I get it. The computer in the house is in the living room where we can monitor them and I noticed Anger Management on Youtube watching Thriller and on another night I watched Stefon watching Beat it (and Eat it - remember that with Weird Al?) and Jackson Five cartoons.

I bought it up jokingly to the husband that the kids was watching Michael and that he had a new CD and he acted like a kid and was like really - why didn't you tell me, I didn't know he re-released it, we should get it.

We bought the CD - and guess who has been jamming to it? ME, let me just tell you they can have the new trash added to the CD - I only listen to the first half which is the original and so does the kids, they do not like the new ish. When I told College boy we had the CD he asked could he burn it on his laptop - go figure, another generation bites the dust. I feel like a little kid again, I forgot about all those songs.

So now when we get in the car Mr. Stefon wants to hear Billie Jean or Thriller and I don't care as long as I get to hear PYT!

Hi!!

Hello everyone!!

I am alive and kicking. I have been doing a little knitting not much. More reading than anything. I just finished The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd and I just picked up Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy translated by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky. I am only three pages in and I like it (I guess that's why it's a classic).

Oh, before I leave Miss Straight A's AKA Anger Management got accepted into Wilson Sr. High Finance and Business Academy (her goal is to go to Columbia, law school and own her own law firm) and I know she can do it. Here that's a big deal because we have crappy schools and it is one of the only bright spots here. So, she is following behind her big bro, who graduated from their Science and Math Technology Academy.

Mr. Stefon is doing great - why wouldn't he? The world revolves around him (knock on wood).

Day 5

FRIDAY!!!

So, what you got planned?

Me?

We FINALLY picked a paint color after the 11th color and we are going to prepare the walls. I think I will visit my great aunt it has been a minute and I have been thinking about her lately. Oh and I plan on starting the second sock and rocking out the CPH right front.

So, I ask you, what are your plans?

I will fight a kid!

Okay, I told you yesterday that I do not answer my celly from unknown callers. Someone called me twice from a number.

Me: Hello
Stranger: Mommy, I am on my period and I had an accident.
Me: Okay, I will have daddy pick you up.

Me: Can you pick up Anger Mgmt?
Mr. Conservative: Okay, I am leaving out

So, long story short Mr. Conservative came and pick me up as well. I work up the street from her too. We go to her school and these hoodlums "kids" are jumping double dutch, I think it was P.E. I was just thinking after we get her I might ask can I get a go. Her father calls her on her cell phone and told her we were here she needs to come out. And I hear all of a sudden from this big chick turning the rope.

Big Chick: GOOOO, Okay I guess they must not want to get by then.
I forgot how old I was. I looked
Me: Uhm...who do you think your talking too? Dear heart I am NOT the one!

Why when I walk past her to get into the school she gave me the evil grit down. Child please! I have my Doctors in Gritologoy. Too funny! Did I let that look slide? I sure didn't I said, I don't care if you look at me like that I am a grown woman, and I will not let you disrespect me. Oh and hit her with the old school grit and rolling of the eyes. Yes some of you are saying I stooped to her level but these kids need to recognize.

So, we get my daughter and come out of the school. The same bad ass girls says, "Hey Anger Management. My daughter says Hi, and I look at her and say who is that fast little girl and my daughter says, oh no one likes her, they all want to beat her up.

I wonder why?

Leaving Kids at School is not a good look!

Okay, so after I posted about the job fair, my celly rings, I normally don't answer #'s I don't know, but it was a local, so I answered.

Me: Hello
Caller: Ma, can you pick me up
Me: Stefon - why do I need to pick you up.
Stefon: Because it is a half-day.
Me: SHIT, I am on my way.

My husband started a new job, so I didn't want to call him. Thank goodness, my job is not that far. Cab/Car - 10 - 15 minutes. Bus - 30. So, I caught a cab. Get there scoop him up and since it is not rush hour. I see the bus coming.

Me: Come on Stefon, run. Let's catch this bus, you know we will have to wait a minute if we miss it.
Stefon: Come on Ma run. Psst, you are so slow.
Me: Just run I will get there.

I see his book slidding out his hand. I am behind him.
Me: Don't stop running I WILL GET THE BOOK.
Stefon: Stops, and pick the book up.

Of course we miss the bus. I am irritated (I know its not his fault).

Me: WHY YOU STOP RUNNING I TOLD YOU I GOT IT.
Stefon: Shooottt. I was not going to leave MY book down there, you know how long it took you and daddy to give me money to buy that book. I was not waiting a hundred days again.

Stefon: Ma
Me: What?
Stefon: So, when does the next bus come?

If I could choke him I would! Any other damn time his ass don't want to read. Oh and the older people on the bus was so touched with his reading. "He is going to be so smart", "He's not being forced to read or anything" "Normally they are playing video games." TRUST, if he had a choice he would be too, but he don't.

Dang, I was going to treat myself to some Sushi or a Rueben for lunch - now, I am eating a candy bar, potato chips and a dang soda.

The Job Fair

Thank you ladies I needed the push.

The job fair was some shit. I knew it would be, or shall I say, I was hoping that it wouldn't be. I hate for my time to be wasted and that is how I felt.

Why?

What is the purpose of having a job fair and NOT accepting resumes, or better yet. Say, yes we are hiring, we have plenty of positions.... go to www.go.o.dluck.sucker.com and complete the application or upload your resume and create a profile. Do what? Hell, what was the purpose of me messing up my good resume paper? I could have done that at home.

I also felt bad for some of the people at the job fair. More than once I strolled to one of the booths, and heard the people ask what positions they had available and they would yell - you have to have a college degree. Do you have a degree? I don't like that crap. I have a degree, so I was straight, but the way they assumed people didn't have one, I mean even the ladies and gents dressed correctly (few). Say what the position is and then say the requirement is a Bachelors. Maybe it was just me, but if you were there you would understand. AND majority of the people there didn't look qualified for half the jobs. They should rope a section off for the sectors that didn't require a degree, maybe that would cut it down. I am actually thinking about writing a piece on this for the paper. We will see, you know I am lazy.

There was a positive. The more I talked to people (not that many), they would try to classify me in the finance world, which is what I do (75%) of the time, but I am tired of numbers, so I know that I need to change my resume. Oh and maybe I need to put my degree on the front page instead of the last page. I could have sworn, my resume book said don't do that unless you just graduated and didn't have any experience (note to self, check it).

NOW, I wish I could take pictures with my camera without making that damn noise. Why you ask? Because, people do not know how to dress for a interview. I thought it was a stripper convention when I first walked in. More on what NOT to wear to a job interview/fair for a later post. I am on my third day of blogging for the week and doing excellent.

Anyway, I found two jobs today that I would like to apply for so I will revamp my resume.

Oh and I completed Sock #1 - will take picture and show later.

Peace

P.S. I'm Scared

Little ole me. Scared. Can you believe that? Yup. I really hate change. Damn. I wish I had the book/movie "Who Moved My Cheese" with me. Am I rambling. Yes, this is my blog/journal and I can use it how I see fit. Ugh!!!!! I want to scream. It won't be bad if I stay here another five years and by that time I will be finished school....right?

Let me call my husband so that he can talk me into going, because I think I might just stay at work and just mail my resumes out. I don't feel like smiling at people and shaking hands - I don't want to catch cooties.

DAYUM!! I hate feeling weak. Shit.

Job, career, something

I blogged before about finishing my resume and starting to look for a new job. Well, guess what people. I have not been looking really. I have posted on websites and people have called me, but they are not willing to meet my price or the benefits are wack! I blame my job sometimes for spoiling me. These are my benefits.

25 days vacation
12 Federal Holidays
1 day sick leave a month
paid healthcare
5% retirement
750 medical reimbursements
5% raise automatic

I can hear you now, sounding like my mother - What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you leaving?

Yeah, I have said the same thing, I also had a couple questions for me.

Are you sure this is what you want to do? Start over?
Um, yes. I am bored. I feel like I am not gaining any new skills. I met with my boss and told him just that - bored and frustrated (yes, that is what I told him - he's cool). He took me to a nice restaurant and told me how much I meant to the organization and that he would get me more involved in some other areas. Okay cool. Well, that was over a year ago and no new duties. I am T.I.R.E.D of looking at numbers. So, yes I am ready to start over.

Will you take less money/benefits?
I don't want to take a pay cut, but I will if the benefits are good or okay. I already know my vacay will go back to 2 weeks. Some stuff I will lose, some I will keep. I can gain them all back. However, I will not skimp on Retirement, not having healthcare or my punch out time, I have to be out by 4/5 at most - remember I plan on starting grad school in the fall.

Honestly, I like my coworkers and my job is cool. I have my own office and I can close the door and chillaxs and don't have to worry about the bossman or anyone breathing down my neck.

Decision
I will be looking for a new job, I got the blue suit on, brief case, hair did, and resumes in the brief case.

I am going to a job fair today. It is time for me to be proactive and get a job.

Wish me luck!

The Wire finale

I have been in love with The Wire since day 1. I make sure my to do list is DONE for the day so the husband and I can sit down and get our t.v. watching on.

Anyone who has been watching The Wire from the beginning know that every season was suppose to be the last. But, it kept chugging on - THANK goodness.

So, when I heard that this last one was really the last season, I was like damn, but okay, all good things must come to an end.

Well, all I have to say is.......THAT WAS SOME BULL SHIGGITY!! Man, I just knew it was going to end better than that. I was looking for some Six Feet Under type of shit. Six Feet Under was so well written and cast and the ending did not leave you hanging.

Damn. Of course Marlo got off, who didn't know the charges wouldn't stick. Hell, I was done with the series when Omar got shot down by Kenard.

My ending in a perfect world would have been Omar and Marlo in a shoot out and Omar beating that ass. Or Barksdale doing him in while he was behind bars. Something, Marlo needed his ass whipped.

I'm just saying, the shit could have ended better but, hey, by the grammatical mistakes in this post you must know, I am not a writer. I guess I will continue to do what I do, watch t.v.

My show right now is In Treatment, and I guess I will wait for Dexter, Big Love and Entourage to come back on. Oh and I almost forgot Larry David crazy ass Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Damn, I expected much more....Can you tell? I just like when things come full circle - I guess that is why I like The Kite Runner (the book, haven't seen the movie), so well written - Beginning, Middle and End.

Done.

Me and my Boo

I have so much to write about, so I am going to start off with the knitting and I probably will post every day this week or at least twice a day. I know it is some knitters out there dying laughing at that last sentence (so am I).

I have a positive and negative knit update. Let's get the negative out the way. CPH - I decide to take the CPH out of the corner and get back to knitting. The last time I knit the right front I stopped at the ribbing and started working the front with the cables. So, I switched to the bigger needles and started working. When I got home I decided to measure the right front with the left front - why I didn't do this at first don't know. Well, I paid for it. I have to rip out the knitting to the ribbing because the measurement is off. Am I mad? Not one bit. Why? Because I have a new love anyway. Ha!

Positive knitting would be the Pomatomous sock. I have been working on it even though my week have been quite busy. I am almost finished with the sock. I had to stop knitting it last night because I was watching The Wire finale (hated it) and messed up a row or two and had to knit backwards to fix it. Cool. I ain't made, that's what love do to you. Me and Pomatomous are still in that honeymoon stage. We will see how long that will last, but for now, that's my boo. Look how pretty she looks -

Last Night

My plans for last night was to - in this order:

Knit, help Mr. Stefon with homework, try a new turkey meatloaf and cheese recipe (a keeper), knit to In Treatment and stay up until husband comes home.

Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans. I helped Mr. Stefon with homework. Tried the recipe and did the head bob while watching In Treatment - I have no clue what happened I woke up at the end - I guess I will get caught up this weekend.

What happened you asked?

Mr. Stefon has been constipated for the past three days. I have been giving him water and veggies and trying to let it pass naturally. He goes to the bathroom and he is screaming at the top of his lungs. What do a good, caring, loving mother like me do? Laugh - not out loud so he could hear me, but yes laugh. Don't judge me people, the shit was funny. He is known to talk to his bowel movement when he is NOT constipated. On more than one occasion I have asked him who is he talking to and yes he has imaginary friends and one of them is named - guess what - Stefon. How the hell do you name your imaginary friend after you. College boy had an imaginary friend too.

He goes to bed @ 8:00 (on the nose, believe me I do a count down - you want what? oh you have 1 min.) Fastfoward - I fall asleep around 9:30, hubby probably got in around 10 and my whole house is sleep. At 11:45 (I know cause I looked at the damn clock), someone (Stefon) is screaming at the top of their lungs. Husband - WTF, shut that damn noise up. In defense of the husband earlier the same day Mr. Stefon woke us up at 4:00 saying his throat hurt!

Parents Conversation:
Me: Don't yell at him, he is constipated, he has been for three days.
Mr. Conservative: Well, I didn't know.
Me: I know, I will go talk to him. Mr. Stefon, I know your stomache hurt but you can not yell at the top of your lungs - someone may call the popo on us. He says, okay. And, I am hoping to go back to sleep.

My husband is hardheaded. Love him dearly, but sometimes, he thinks his ass knows everything ( I do too, but....I am normally right LOL), remember, what the old folks use to say - A hard head, will make a soft ass.

Mr. Conservative: He needs more water and veggies.
Me: He drinks plenty of water (although, you didnt bring any home and I asked you too), but he do need to eat more veggies.
Mr. Conservative: He needs to stay away from sodas.
Me: Um, when we went to Costco we only bought Cranberry and Apple juice.
Mr. Conservative: Gets out of bed, gets Stefon and commence to giving this child water. I am upstairs listening to him explain the importance of water and how he HAS to drink it even though he don't want too.

I say to myself, this shit is child abuse why am I allowing this shit to go on - the warm bed maybe. Hell, he is his daddy too. Rolling over. Both of them come back upstairs and the husband tells him to sit on the toilet for a minute and he comes and lays back in bed. We hear this big boom in the kids bathroom.

Me: What the hell is that?
Mr. Conservative: I don't know.

Well guess what bloggers - it was PAY BACK.

Backstory: Daddy has been better taking care of sick kids. I am lazy, especially when I am trying to sleep I am a very light sleeper and I suffer from insomnia alot, so he gotta know I am faking (remember earlier, we're not judging). Whoever gets to the kids first normally take care of the problem. Well.

Mr. Stefon threw up everywhere in the bathroom, not in the toilet or the trashcan. EVERYWHERE.

What do I say when husband gets back in the bedroom - see, that's why you should not have been making him drink all that damn water. It was dark in the room, so I didn't see his face, but I am pretty sure he wanted to choke me. I would. He just went downstairs got the gloves and the mop and went to work. I laid in the bed, but then I felt bad so in solidarity I sat up in the bed...and commence to giving orders/suggestions. You might not want to use that mop, use the other mop. Do you have gloves? What are you going to do with the clothes? Hey, you need the Lysol? At this point, I believe he had ENOUGH of me. He said, um, yeah - YOU can go get it. I figured Hell he did everything else, I could at least do that.

God I love my husband!
